The Lehigh Valley is the area bounded by Lehigh and Northampton Counties, which are situated in the east-central portion of Pennsylvania approximately 90 miles west of New York City and 60 miles north of Philadelphia. The cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton and the suburban fringe on their boundaries comprise a large share of the regional population.
